James is originally from Baltimore, Maryland, but has lived in Los Angeles since August of 1989. As an actor he has amassed more than 20 credits on the following television shows:

In addition to his television credits, James has also amassed more than 40 stage credits, including the following plays: Othello, Measure for Measure, Romeo and Juliet, Fences, Working, Nantucket Sleigh-ride, “Master Harold…and the boys”, Steel: John Henry and the Shaker, Abstract Expression, Sons of The Father, and The Mandrake.
